I would like to preface this by saying that I live and fish in Northeast Florida. Didn’t want the hassle of dragging my boat 300 miles for a long weekend trip.
I was lucky enough to find Always Late Fishing Charter.
Lucas & Drake were at the dock early to meet us for our charter. Both of them were professional, knowledgeable, and courteous to me, my wife & son. The seas were a little rougher than forecasted, but the 32 foot See Vee handled it well! The boat and fishing were great! They put us on the Mangrove Snapper at the first spot we went to and it was a free for all! We went to a couple of other spots to end the day and caught fish there as well.
Both Lucas and Drake are generational Marathonians and were very talkative not just in conversation but also describing their fishing techniques. One thing that was impressive was their comradery with the other charter captains that came to the same spots we were fishing.
I would definitely recommend Always Late Fishing Charter for anyone looking for a great day of fishing. I will be calling them the next time we visit the Keys!

This was our 2nd trip with Captain Lucas and Mike. As we walked away after catching over 50 fish I told Captain, “You’re our guy!” We won’t ever book with another captain. Our first trip was 2 years ago and we had a great time. This trip was even better. I messaged Lucas prior saying I would love to catch a mahi mahi and he made it happen with 30+. It was like out of a movie, the bright colors, fish jumping out of the water. I couldn’t have imagined a better experience. My entire family had a trip of a life time. Highly recommend!!!
