Hooked up with the Captain at the launch ramp for a half day trip and then headed out to smooth waters. First stop, fish on, a nice little Gag grouper. Second fish on, a cobia, that was safely released.  I had requested to catch a Cobia on this trip but was told it wasn’t a good time for them. Somehow they managed to hook me up with one. I can now scratch that one off my bucket list.  Fishing gods were smiling on us. Overall, we caught a good variety of fish. We had a great time fishing and talking shop with Captain Alex. The Man knew his stuff and produced. My brother and I had a really great day on the water with Adria Charters and it was one of my highlights while staying on the island.  Can’t wait until next year. 🤙

Asked captain Adria to put us own some Goliath Grouper and she did not disappoint.  Great communication before we took off monitoring tropical storm hitting the gulf and knowledge of when fish are biting.  We decided to leave at 6am because fish were biting early with water temp in high 80s. We hit captains spot on a wreck about 58 feet deep just when the sun was rising. within 30 minutes my son, his friend and I got action in a big way !!  Hits bending the poles in half !! Her first mate Alex is very experienced in setting gear, fishing technique, and most importantly bringing your catch to the boat.  In our case, 200 and 350 pound monsters that took about 15 minutes each to get up.  It was the best workout of my life !!!  Around 9am, as predicted by Captain, activity came to a halt.  We got one good hit after 9 but the line snapped.  Captain worked hard to find us some other action as we hit a few other spots but nothing was biting.  The effort to try and land us one more fish was commendable.  Definitely will be going out with Captain Adria again, and more than likely use her 32 ft vessel for a deeper gulf experience .  Thanks for a memory of a lifetime captain and allowing me to catch a bigger fish then my son !!!

Visiting from the UK, the long awaited fishing trip around Boca Grande did not let us down. Not only did we catch fish (Sea Trout and Catfish). In a dramatic ending to the days fishing we hooked in to a Tarpon - only to end up as the one that got away.

Thank you for a fantastic time!  Our afternoon trip started a little slow but ended with tons of fish and lots of memories.  Can’t wait to do it again!  We had folks from 13 to 74 all were treated with respect.  Laughs and smiles all around.
