Lower Niagara River and Lake Ontario surface temperature was 48ยฐ. Winds were supposed to be calm in the morning, but they didn't settle until early afternoon. Lake was too rough to troll plugs. So we fished the river using 3 ways and live bait to take brown trout and artificial baits for bass. Once the lake calmed down, we were able to get out on the Canadian side of the Niagara bar where water was cleaner and trolled maglips in 22 feet of water to catch lake trout, brown trout and cohos we also went out to 4 mile creek where we also picked up cohos. Niagara was running dirty but fishable.

Lake surface temperature 48ยฐF. Winds light out of the West. All of the Niagara bar is covered from mud that is being pushed through the river for the past few days. On the West side of the Niagara bar, there was a small stretch of blue water. About 500 yd long or so we were able to troll inside the mudline and 18 to 22 feet of water with. Kwik fish on 3 ways or stickbates.Lakers coho's chinooks and brown trout were caught.This was a 2 boat trip.Mud was definitely a contributing factor to a poor bite.Fish were breaching and eating baitfish all over the place

The morning bite on the Niagara bar was good for trout and salmon. Winds picked up, so we headed up river for brown trout and bass. Came back out to the lake once the winds settled and caught more brown trout. Risdual waves from yesterdays northeast wind were problematic, but we caught a lot of fish today

Muddy conditions are starting to improve as the river began clearing a few days ago. Big northeast winds rolled Lake ontario and bought cold water to the surface. Lake surface temperature is 44 degrees down from 48 degrees a few days ago. Residual waves made the Niagara bar choppy . Caught 1 brown on kwiks. Drifted minnows in the river for trout

The day began with somewhat fishable water. But as time went on, the river just got dirtier and dirtier. The only thing that took fish was pulling plugs in as bright of a color i could find.Southwind at over 30 miles an hour is basically what we used to move the boat just faster than the current. We worked hard for every fish. Best is yet to come with more favorable weather this week. River temperature was 43.6

We fished the solar eclipse on the lower Niagara river on April 8th. Purely magical is the only way I can describe it.Just complete peace and serenity. Mostly bass. But had some trout on as well. Cloudy overcast chilly kinda day

Capt.Joe very knowlege able of river had first fish in boat in less than an 1/2 c aught 16 hook ups 13 landed. Want trip of a life time would recomend.
