I took my two boys and brother out on Double Hook for a full day marlin trip. While we only caught a small bonita and a rainbow runner, we all had a good time.  Capt Humberto and the first mate Chris were both very professional and worked hard to get us onto some fish, but it just wasn’t to be that day. I would go out again with Double Hook and would recommend my friends to use them as well.

I would like to first say that the captain and deck hand were great.  Rough day on the water and didn’t quite get into them on our trip.  Not to the fault of the captain or the crew, they just weren’t biting.  I would be prepared for rougher than normal water out of San Juan.  Swells are close together and large.  Wind is usually pretty heavy as well on this side of the island.  comfortable seating on boat would have been nice given that the waters were so rough and standing... Capt. Humberto and 1st Mate Christopher treated us to a fun 3/4 day trip to the deep blue. Double Hook was very knowledgeable and professional in their charter service for a family of four. Trip was to treat our 16 year old daughter to an epic trip and Double Hook delivered. While rough, the water was hopping with baitfish and plenty of grass lines. Capt. Humberto knew how to make the trip comfortable and productive. 5 Mahis and a Rainbow Runner made for sore arms and smiling faces.

Capt Humberto and First Mate did an outstanding job. The day was slow but Capt Humberto stayed out longer than expected until we caught a Mahi Mahi. But it did not stop there. When we returned to the dock Capt Humberto’swife was waiting for him at the dock because he was out later than expected. She helped us find a restaurant that would cook our fish that we caught.
