First time fishing with wife and kids on the ocean, it was an amazing experience!!!!!!!

We had a short trip but a lot of fun! Weather and tide weren’t perfect but our captain did a great job of getting us on fish. I’ll definitely book again when I’m back in Clearwater.

This was my second trip with Captain Mikey with my 7 year old son and we had an absolute blast!  Mikey took us on outshore on a half-day trip and put us right on the fish.  He and Josh were extremely helpful with baiting and tying hooks, offering advice on how to handle certain species like grouper, and helping with my son.  We must have caught a dozen different species of fish in that spot, including a few sand sharks (pretty neat for a Midwesterner).  Captain Mikey was also extremely flexible as my 5 year old daughter wanted to come with us for a little bit, so we fished the intercoastal for about an hour and then dropped her back off before we headed outshore.  Overall, I couldn’t recommend Captain Mikey and Josh enough, especially if you have young kids who like to fish.  They’re both very friendly and patient and provided us with a fun experience!

Captian Mike and mate Josh were everything a new saltwater fishing person could ask for. They showed up right on time. They were both eager to help use get set up correctly with the top notch gear that was provided for us to use.  They had plenty of livebait available for us and offered to rebait our hooks as soon as we lost a bait or caught a fish. Speaking of fish, they have the spots figured out.  We fished for about 5 hours and it seemed like one of us always had a fish on. The boat was great. Clean and well kept. To top off the day on the way in we hit a couple of his “honey holes” and caught a large Grouper! The guys at Island Time Charters are top notch and I would highly recommend them if you are looking to get out for a great fishing experience in Clearwater.
