Skip and Travis worked hard to find to fishing “honey holes” of Assawoman Bay and even took us all the way down past Assateague Island to see the ponies. After a few hours of fishing tips and learning some new techniques we came upon a Bluefish extravaganza where the fish were biting and the fishing was an absolute blast! They were extremely patient with us and with 2 new fisherman as part of the crew, they walked away with an experience of a lifetime. I highly recommend and would book them again in a heartbeat. Everything was easy and never felt out of place. They definitely made all 3 of us feel like one of the family.

Booked with Cpt Skip at the last minute for a guy’s trip down to the beach. I was a little skeptical booking a fishing charter through an online reservation system, but Skip was fantastic from the start. Immediately after booking I received prompt and professional communication from Skip. Over the next couple days we hammered out the details including species to target and preferred methods of fishing. Once the day of our trip arrived Skip continued to impress. He was punctual, outgoing and had an impressive knowledge of the local waters. Skip was fantastic with my buddy who had very little fishing knowledge and demonstrated a genuine desire to make sure he had a great day and (pardon the pun) get hooked on fishing. In the end the bite was not super hot (not skip’s fault). We managed a few rockfish in the 20-24” range, which are a blast on medium-light tackle. Overall I would highly recommend Skip to anyone looking for a few memorable hours fishing the waters around OC. I plan on booking again with Skip later this year for a trip with the wife and kids.

I highly recommend!! I can’t wait to get my next trip booked! Captain Skip is a great guy and is very knowledgeable of the waters and where the fish could be. We moved to a couple areas then he got us in to a great spot where I caught lots of blues.I had the best time I didn’t want the day to end I could fish with him all day. What a blast!

Captain Skip was a lot of fun to hang out with and he made us feel very comfortable on his boat. He’s knowledgeable and familiar with the sounding waters. We caught lots of flounder and Captain Skip was there to help us every step of the way. I’d definitely book with him again and recommend anyone to do the same.

This is the Captain for you.  I’ve chartered fishing boats in and around Bethany (and other places) and Capt. Skip is up there with the very best!  Cannot recommend him more. Parking, pickup and drop off were so easy.  The “Lost” in “Lost Sailor” isn’t descriptive of Capt. Skip — he thoroughly knows the area and where the fish are.  And, this is important for ppl with kids, he’s very patient, answers questions, helps to your level of fishing experience.  Yeah, we all want an authentic Captain (which he is) but I’ve had Captains who are terrible being patient with kids, answering questions, etc.  I rarely leave reviews on sites but for Skip I had to.  Before we were even off the boat my son said to him, “we’ll do this again.”  That said it all.  Also, I’m a terrible fisherman and I got MANY more bites/catches with Skip than ever before.  If you’re scanning this site/these reviews to choose a fishing Captain to spend time on the water with: go with Skip!
