Booked Captain Darrell for my son’s 10th birthday fishing adventure, and wow - this guy doesn’t mess around! We went from “Dad, are we there yet?” to “Dad, look at the SIZE of this thing!” faster than you can say “fish on!”

The captain had us pulling in stripers so big, my 10-year-old started questioning the laws of physics. “How did THAT fit in the lake, Dad?” Fair question, kiddo. I’m pretty sure one of them was older than our mortgage.

The captain’s fish-finding abilities border on supernatural. Either he’s got sonar vision or he’s been bribing the fish with premium bait for years. My son is now convinced he wants to be a “professional fish catcher” when he grows up, and honestly, after seeing this guy work, it seems like a solid career path.

Warning: You WILL go home smelling like victory (and fish). Your wife WILL make you shower in the garage. Your kid WILL tell everyone at school that his dad is basically a fishing legend now.

Already planning our return trip because apparently we’ve been drafted into the Lake Lanier Striper Extraction Squad. Captain Darrell - you’ve created monsters, and we couldn’t be happier about it!

10/10 would fish again. The stripers have been warned.

Captain Darrell did a great job today and was able to quickly put us on fish this morning!! I would recommend him to anyone looking to fish for striped bass on Lanier. He is very knowledgeable and took the time to answer all of our questions and explain his techniques and how to find and fish for striped bass!

Capt. Redd was awesome, we had a great day fishing and learning the Lake Lanier waters.  Redd was very knowledgeable and willing to share the tricks of the trade and teach us northerners how to fish for bass in the south.  Learned, laughed and most importantly caught fish!

Would highly recommend hiring Darrel . Very friendly , professional and refuses to go back without a catch . We stayed on the waters well beyond our time slot , because he insisted that we catch atleast 3 fish . Our biggest catch was 13 pounds . It was our 1st time fishing , and entire family loved the trip. You will be happy that you chose Darrel

We had a great morning on Lake Lanier with Captain Redd.  He is a fun guy who really knows the lake and where to find the fish.  I was thrilled to catch a 25 pond striper and my son caught one that was around 15 pounds.  We caught many other fish of different species.  We would 100% recommend Captain Redd to anyone who wants to have a good time and catch some fish.
