I’ll be completely honest. I told captain Chris what I would like to catch and unfortunately the fishing gods just weren’t on our side today. However Chris did everything in his power to give us every opportunity we could could get. You can tell he loves this and want his customers to be happy. Overall great guy and guide sometimes that’s just how fishing goes. We still managed to land a few nice fish like this bonita on a gold gotcha which was a fun fight and we got to see a whale shark! I would def come back and fish with Chris again! Thanks for the trip and memories!

Brought my family out from Texas for a week in Destin. Came across Chris in the Fishingbooker app. Chris was incredibly knowledgeable, kind, and informative. We caught several speckled trout and Chris cleaned them for us to take home to our condo. Absolutely delicious! We got stormed out the first day but Chris took us out the next day to make up for it. He didnt have to do that but he did and we really appreciated it. He knows the water and has been fishing the bayous his whole life. Highly recommend. Thanks Chris! We will find you again next time we are in town.

Our family of four had a great time with Chris and left with fish to take home. Chris was very attentive and answered all our questions from the booking to the end of our trip. He even called the day before to touch base and answer any questions. We caught bait fish and fished different areas. We had a great time!

I recently had the pleasure of booking a fishing charter with Captain Chris and the Shoal River Outdoors Fishing charter, and it was an incredible experience from start to finish. I cannot recommend him enough! From the moment we stepped onto the boat, Captain Chris’s expertise was apparent. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and clearly knew the waters like the back of his hand.

But what really blew me away was his ability to put us right on top of the best fish. I’ve been on plenty of fishing trips before, but never have I caught so many big, beautiful fish in one day. Captain Chris seemed to know exactly where to go and what techniques to use to maximize our chances of a catch. And he was more than happy to share his knowledge with us, giving tips and tricks throughout the day.

Beyond his fishing abilities, Captain Chris was just a joy to spend the day with. He was patient with us, even when we made mistakes or needed extra help. He was also an excellent teacher, taking the time to explain everything we needed to know about the equipment, the fish, and the environment.

Overall, I cannot recommend Captain Chris and his Shoal River Outdoors fishing charter enough. If you’re looking for a top-notch fishing experience with a captain who truly knows his stuff, look no further.  Five stars all around!
