Captain Jesse is a fantastic person to spend the day on the water with. We caught fish, had great conversation, and saw beautiful scenery. His equipment is suited for the job and his boat is perfect as well. We had plenty of room for the four of us and the captain. He also cleaned our fish and we took them to a local spot that cooked them for us! We will be back again, we’ll also tell everyone we know to go see Captain Jesse at Amelia Light Tackle Charters.

We had a great day with Captain Jesse.  He taught us to catch bait( shrimp and ponies) with nets.  We hooked a big Tarpon while at the Jettys and struggled with it for 20-30 mins.  It jumped out 3-4 times, to the delight of us all, getting great pictures/video.  We caught grunts, toadfish, lady fish and one red fish, as well as a few crabs.  We saw dozens of dolphins at very close range, as well as Crush (the turtle from Nemo.)
Jessie taught us a lot of the history and geography of the area.  He was very kind to my son when became sea sick.  We moved into flatter water and everything was fine from then on.
Even though we reserved a half day,  Captain Jesse really gave us all of the time we desired.  He was in no hurry to stop fishing. He genuinely would have kept us fishing as long as we wanted.  It was well worth it and we can’t wait to go fishing with Captain Jesse and his no-name boat again

What an awesome experience! If you like inshore fishing with light tackle and or bait this is the trip for you. Jesse was professional from the time I first contacted him all the way through the trip. His boat was clean/organized and he knew exactly where the fish were going to be. He knows the area so well that he can adapt to any wind/weather changes. He was an awesome instructor if you are a little uneasy about casting.

Jesse (being a local who grew up on the island) has a plethora of knowledge related to the island. I don’t think I was able to stump him on one question regarding the history/infrastructure on the island.

This is a wonderful fishing experience that I would recommend to any of my friends and family. If you book with Jesse you will not be disappointed. I really cannot say enough good things about Jesse he is everything and angler wants with a guide! I certainly want to get back to this little island again to go out with Jesse!

My sons and I had a blast. My kids 11 and 14 already loved fishing but Captain Jessie captured their interest by putting them on fish all day. Taught them different knots and techniques. They told Jessie stories for hours after and I think we will hear stories for weeks to come.

Captain Jesse was knowledgeable about the area, very polite, attentive and funny.  He worked his tail off with our 2 tweens on their first real fishing trip. . They caught different kinds of fish and their smiles were so sweet. He gave them a wonderful memory, and we are so grateful.
