Captain
Nicholas Boyd
Member since December 2021
Okatie, United States
- Background
- Born and raised down in the sea islands of Beaufort SC, Captain Nicholas grew up fishing the low country with his dad and has been around it his whole life as well as professionally guiding its waters full-time. He dedicates most of his time being on the water to make sure his clients have the best opportunities and experience when they are fishing with him. For Captain Nicholas, fishing is a way of life and he strives to be the best at it, learn new things every day, and become a better guide. He enjoys guiding clients and making lifelong friendships and memories. He also loves teaching them how to be better anglers when they are up on the bow as well as how important it is to take care of their fisheries and waterways for many more years to come. The captain also wants to share his passion for fishing in general and show clients from around the world his beautiful home waters of South Carolina's Lowcountry.
- Techniques
- Captain Nicholas is 100% catch and release. He likes push poling shallow water flats, creeks, and shoreline banks and finding big trophy fish in their most natural state. Also, tailing or belly crawling in shallow water or blowing up on bait and setting up the most perfect opportunity to sight fish with a fly or artificial lure and then watching the fish swim off to live another day. Seeing big fish eat flies or lures is what he lives for!
