The trip started out with east winds (bad!) so we re-located to get to a lee and found some good fishing on a rather bad day. Nice northern and a 6# walleye will make a good fish fry.

Walleye are moving into the area around Cape Vincent. These are 5# and 6#.

We had a great time fishing northerns and it did get a little windy but these folks had a really good time getting a fish dinner. Age does not matter, it is the desire.

The day was cloudy and very windy, with waves 2'-3' but the pike were still on the bite.

The day started out with rain and a little wind but after we were off the dock the weather worsened. 15 knot winds later became 20-30 and the waves build 2-3' so we changed from walleye to pike. This was my client's first pike and we caught a total of 4 in less than 2 hours fishing the St. Lawrence River. All were released to swim away until the next client wants a hard fighting, sometimes jumping fish. I show a lot of pike photos but they are a good substitute while waiting for the August walleye and pike take less time trolling and actually taste better than walleyes. My wife and I remove almost all the bones, wash and bag the fish for you. Great eating!

When the walleyes are not biting at least the pike are. These provided a really good fish fry for my clients.
