Captain Joe DeGruttola is a US Coast Guard Licensed Captain with an OUPV Near Coastal to 100 Miles offshore certificate. He has been fishing and running boats from the Raritan Bay for the past 15 years and has fished for all species of fish from inshore to offshore.
Joe has also participated in many tournaments that include Monster Shark, Mako Mania, White Marlin Open, Mid-Atlantic 500, Mid-Atlantic Rockfish Shootout, and many other striped bass tournaments on the ASA Striper Trail.

4 Hour Trip – Striped Bass (AM) • 2 adultsGreat trip!! Captain worked extremely hard to put us on the fish. We caught a bunch even when seeing other boats not catching. Captain used all resources they had to make locate and identify the fish. First mate was great! Friendly knowledgeable. 10 out of 10!! Can’t wait to go again and hammer those striped bass!

4 Hour Trip – Striped Bass (AM) • 3 adultsScheduled the trip about 6 weeks in advance for my daughter’s 31st b-day. Weather was not good the entire week prior to the trip but was beautiful the day of the trip. The crew worked hard to find fish and try different ways to catch them. My daughter brought in a 20lb striped bass thanks to the hard work of the crew and made her birthday wish come true. Later in the trip she landed a 7 pound bluefish. 4 Hour Trip – Striped Bass (AM) • 1 adultWent out for a morning trip with Cpt Ray and First Mate Vinny targeting striped bass. After a slower morning in the bay, the guys made the choice to head out in search for trophy bass and did not disappoint. Easily the biggest striped bass I have ever caught. Overall great guys to hang on the water with and very knowledgeable. Would recommend to anyone to book!

Fishing is off to a hot start! Monday had a bunch of fish from short to 43inches! All fish caught on live bunker and casting shads. Wednesday was even better with over 30 fish caught on our 4 hour trip. All casting shads and metal lip plugs.
