Background
Growing up by the American River in Northern California, Capt. Glenn was able to fish for Salmon and Steelhead in the river and for Bass in the lake he passed on his home. This allowed him to learn a wide range of angling techniques from using spinning gear to flyfishing. The captain enlisted in the Air Force and his world got much bigger. He discovered inshore saltwater fishing while at EOD (Explosive Ordnance Disposal) school in Florida and has been hooked on that ever since. While he still fishes for Bass and Salmon when he gets the chance, it's the inshore opportunities that he looks forward to the most.
Techniques
Capt. Glenn is as comfortable using a fly rod for Snook as he is at throwing a live pilchard to it. He used artificial lures mostly growing up and came to using live bait later in life. He loves it all. Some days he wants to use artificial and some days live bait.

The fiahing has beed great between cold fronts. It alows a little when the feont passes but this bwing SW Florida , the chill doesnโ€™t stay long The mangrove snapper have been good with some 14-16โ€ fish being caught which is very good for inshore areas. Yhe snook bite has slowed some with the cooler water but will return with a few warm days in the forecast. The Pompano have been showing nowas have large numbera of black drum. All in all the fishing is good. Photea from last week of November.

The Snook bite has been great even with the recent cold front last week. Getting a keeper slot size Snook is a challenge as usual but the over under ones are a real blast. Redfish have been good with most days getting a few but there are days when they decide to disappear. Over all the fall fishing has been very consistent And i put a photo of my puppy . Just for smiles.

The Fall fiahing is getting better by the day Lots of bait around and the fiah have keyed in on it. Red fish have been good with a common problem being they are to big to legally keep. Its a good problem to have :). Last week we had 3 days with Inshore slams. Thats snook ,redfish and sea trout on same trip.

The bait has moved shallow and the fish have followed. The shorter days have started the fall feeding. Red Fish , Spotted Sea Trout and snook have really turned on now . The good fishing should hold until the stonger cold fromts start arriving. Both live bait and artificials will work well.

The bait is all over the now. Reds and snook are taking full advantage of it. Mornings are still the best with afternoons good of you sont mind a little heat Using paddletails , topwater baots and live Pilchards fished along deeper edges with ahallow water close by. Yhe fish will be shollow early then fall back to the deeper pockets later in the day.
