Caught our limit on yellowtail! He is fun and personable.
He is patient and teaches you best practices to catch fish. His professionalism and expertise are very apparent from the moment you step into his boat.
I would highly recommend macho! We plan on using his charter everytime we visit the keys!

We caught 3 Mahi and a limit of snapper. Had a blast with Capt. Eddy. Great family business. Knowledgeable and caring. Will be our go-to crew.

Great day with Eddy who put us on fish quickly and we both caught our limit on snapper. The sharks also enjoyed some snapper although they were just a little too strong to catch on light rods. Eddy knows his trade superbly well and was very accommodating in meeting our requirements. He’s highly recommended

Pros: Capt. Eddy was very nice and he was very responsive prior to the trip. His boat and equipment are great and well maintained, and the pick-up location is very convenient.

Cons: I booked a 6 hr trip with Reel Screamer specifically for deep sea fishing as our goal was to catch mahi and possibly upgrade the trip to an 8 hr trip and I discussed this with Capt. Eddy. I picked Reel Screamer because they had the best rate for longer trips and the pick-up location was convenient. Initially, we had to reschedule the trip to the following day due to bad weather which is understandable. Capt. Eddy contacted me the morning of the rescheduled trip and advised that it might be still too windy to go off-shore and asked if we would be OK to change the trip to reef fishing for 4 hrs to be safe, in in case it’s too windy to go offshore. We were really hoping for offshore fishing experience but safety is more important so I agreed to it.

The boat ride was little bumpy but that did not bother us. However, when we arrived at the location where we were going to fish and stopped the boat, the waves were so big that I could not even stand in the boat without having to hold onto something. We attempted to fish for about 10 minutes but I was very uncomfortable (you can’t really fish while you constantly have to hold onto something with one hand) and was worried that either my son or I will end up in the water so I asked Capt. Eddy to bring us back to shore. He said he totally understood and he admitted that it was pretty choppy out there that day.
We spent little over 1.5 hr on the boat and I was still charged for the whole trip which was pre-paid through this site. I was not expecting to get full refund because I know that his time, baits, gas, etc cost money but I was not expecting to be charged $800 for a full trip either, especially because I found out afterwards that most other captains cancelled their ocean-side trips that day due to the bad weather. Even local, experienced fishermen told me afterwards that it was a crazy idea to go out that day.
Seeing the weather at the shore doesn’t tell me much about how safe it is to be offshore so I depended on Capt. Eddy’s recommendation which was to do reef fishing but honestly, I feel like he should’ve just cancelled the trip. I know his contract says that I’m responsible for the full payment if I cancel the trip and I guess technically I was the one asking him to bring us back to shore but the weather was clearly not appropriate to be out there that day. 
This experience makes me sad because I’m sure him and his trips are great when all goes well and the weather is good. I even understand if he does not know exactly how the water is out there but if it is worse than he thought, he should not be charging the customers for that as it’s not their fault either. $800 is a lot of money for a negative experience.
