Captain Gavet has been guiding fishing trips for over 23 years. He's a South Florida native and he made his first fishing moves when he was just 5 years old. It all started when his older brothers and he used to sneak onto golf courses and catch Bass. This started a lifelong passion that lasts to this day.
Techniques
Live bait light tackle fishing to me is the most fun. You typically get into a lot of action and the customers are much more involved in the process. They get to hold a rod, cast, and feel the bite.

The last few trips have produced some monster mutton snapper. Along with the snapper weโ€™ve also had sailfish, blackfin tuna, mahi mahi and african pompano. Snook fishing inshore has also been really good.

Action packed half days with kids and their dads have been what iโ€™ve been up to lately. These trips typically start with lots of live bait to get the fish fired up. Live bait is included on all my trips. Once you get them fired up you can expect to catch king mackerel, red grouper, yellowtail snapper, giant sharks, Spanish mackerel, bonito, and a handful of other species. Inshore snook and tarpon have also been very cooperative.
