- Capt. Heath is a third-generation fishing captain and he owns and operates At Ease Charters, Inc. He grew up fishing the waters of Carteret County for over 30 years and he holds a 100-ton Master Merchant Mariner Credential. The captain is a retired active-duty U.S. Coast Guard with 20 years of service and professional experience operating boats and ships. Twelve of his 20 years were served operating in the coastal waters of North Carolina. Capt. heath has always had a passion for being on the water and fishing for as long as he can remember.
- Techniques
- The captain's preferred technique is artificial baits on jig heads or live baiting with Carolina rigs on the bottom or slip float rigs drifted in the current along the banks and sloughs. Wreck and artificial reef techniques consist of vertical jigging bucktails and metal jigs along with chumming and free lining live bait or cut/live bait on the bottom.
