We had ANOTHER great day (our 4th in a row and counting) fishing with our adopted family member Bubba. On a day when the fishing gods were making it tough on us, Bubba was able to find the perfect spot to reel in some big ones. If you fish with another captain, be ready to settle for less. We had a wonderful fishing trip. It was a little slow to begin with, but the captain moved us around a number of times to get us on some great fish. We ended up catching 8 redfish all over 30” with the biggest 2 maching each other just under 43”. The captain cleaned the fish that we kept and even recommended Huli Huli Hut to cook some up for us. They cooked up our fish and got to pick 4 different sides to go with it. Would highly recommend.

Bubba is an outstanding captain and did everything in his power to make it an enjoyable day on the water, despite poor weather and a tough bite. We had strong winds, big waves, and strange currents to contend with, along with excessive heat. My son was seasick for the first few hours and Bubba was great about checking with him and adjusting where we fished to get into calmer waters. He was extremely attentive and I would 100% recommend anyone with kids to go with him - they’re in good hands! Once my son felt better, Bubba moved us around to give us the best chance to catch fish, and my son landed a few sharks along with a handful of catfish. When the trip was supposed to be over, he even stopped to let my son catch some sand trout so the trip would end on a good note. Bubba was a kind, courteous, and extremely knowledgeable captain who shared lots of stories and taught us a lot about fishing the area, and we truly felt welcome and appreciated on his boat. Despite a slow bite and getting seasick, my son said the fishing trip with Bubba was his favorite part of our whole vacation and that he wants to fish with him again - I think that says it all!

This fishing charter was the grand finale of our weeklong family vacation to Galveston. The weather was not kind to us, and a storm actually formed pretty much on top of us. Captain Bubba got us into safety and got us dry shirts, and we headed right back out as soon as the storm passed. Our teenager was able to bring in a big black drum due to the captains persistence. The captain went over and beyond any reasonable expectations we had, and did absolutely everything he could to put us on fish and to get us as much fishing time as possible with the weather taken into account. On our drive home, I asked Ali what her favorite part of the trip was and her response was getting the black drum. She already forgot about the storm. All that mattered was getting that big fish.
