Fun experience overall, we shared a lot of laughs and he was very helpful and informational. Great easy ride to the spot. Got hooked up immediately. One point there was a minor inconvenience on the boat that could of been handled a lot more professionally. It made for a very awkward time but overall we caught fish and made it back safely.

I’m reviewing this based on my experience. We started out on time. We stopped about 10-15 minutes into the trip for bait. The first net cast netted no bait. The second brought in several 100 pogies. Then it was about a half hour to 45 minute ride to an artificial reef. There, the first mate set up two outrigger poles that are hung at or near the top of the canopy. We began trolling for king and Spanish makeral. The first mate also held a line in the water. After about a half hour or more, we were off to another artificial reef, where there were 9 other boats. The same set up with two outriggers poles and one held by the first mate. Trolled for about 30 minutes. No bites here either. Then we started back toward the marina. On the way back we stopped in an area where two poles were set up with artificial lures. Finally a lady fish was hooked. The first mate handed the rod to my grandson and he finished reeling in that fish. On about 4 more occasions, he tried reeling in another fish that spit the lure immediately. His girlfriend had one shot at reeling in a fish. I never touched a rod.
If trolling for fish and possibly not touching a pole is what you’re looking for, this trip is for you. Btw, I’m not sure if they forgot about our one fish, but it wasn’t cleaned. It was left in the cooler. I have no issue with not hooking fish. That’s the breaks of fishing.
