What an amazing day fishing with Captain Daniel with Maryola Tours in Tamarindo. He got my boys (7&8) on Yellowfin Tuna within 15 minutes and was beyond patient with them. When our oldest asked to try for Grouper & Red Snapper Captain Dan was on it. Then we spent the rest of the day trying for Marlin & Sailfish while the kids took a siesta on the boat. We got a nice one hooked and it put up a heck of a fight. Thank you Captain Daniel & Johnny for an amazing day. The fish you cleaned for us made for an amazing dinner on the beach. Pura Vida!

Daniel was a phenomenal charter that far exceeded all expectations. Daniel has been fishing these waters for almost 20 years. You want a guide that really knows what they are doing and is out there every day. We caught everything we wanted to and tried a variety of fishing. I would highly recommend and definitely go again.

We had a great time. Daniel and Johnny were great!  Their boat was extremely comfortable and we caught lots of fish! Daniel was great talking about conservation as well and was teaching my 15 y/o son how they were catching fish. 5 stars for sure. I will definitely fish with them again.

Daniel and Jonny were great.  They were friendly and welcoming. We caught around 15 fish in the first hour. Yellow fin, rainbow runner, and skip jack. Clearly, the highlight - two large pacific sailfish in the second and third hour along with several other fish.  Both Daniel and Jonny knew what they were doing. They worked hard to entice the sailfish to bite and coached us during the fight.  My 15 year old son brought in one of them and the smile on his face was priceless.  We saw sea turtles, humpback whales. What a perfect day on the water.  Thanks!

Captain Daniel asked us ahead of time to meet at 6:00am to get a better start. (Which I very much appreciated!) We started out trolling while on the lookout for fish busting top water and birds feeding on baitfish. Captain Daniel then started jigging once we entered an area where we saw fish feeding on baitfish. He had a bite so, we started jigging. We immediately started hooking up with Tuna. We caught Tuna Mackerel, Yellowfin Tuna, and Bonita. We caught several of each! Next, we changed up and started fishing the bottom to target bigger fish. It didn’t take long and we hooked up with an 8 foot long Bull Shark that took my son 1 hour to reel in. What an amazing experience for my son! First Mate, Johnny, took care of everything for us while onboard and cleaned our catch. Captain Daniel is very experienced and knowledgeable of the waters near Tamarindo! We also saw plenty of Humback Whales, Sea Turtles, and Dolphins! We had an incredible experience with Maryola Tours! We definitely recommend this fishing tour!!!
