What better way to spend the day than to go fishing in the beautiful waters out of Tamarindo? Join Maryola Tours and experience the adventure you'll remember for a long time. This charter is family-owned and operated by Captain Daniel. They are friendly, patient, and knowledgeable, and welcome anglers of all skill levels on their trips.

You will be picked up on the Tamarindo beach in front of the restaurant El Chiringuito. We ask you to keep in mind (especially if you have mobility issues) that there is no marina in Tamarindo. You will be picked up by a smaller boat on the beach that will take you out to the fishing boat.

The boat you'll be fishing from is a 27' Liston boat that accommodates up to 4 guests. This offshore boat is powered by a 115HP Yamaha engine and reaches the speed of 15 knots. She's powered with navigational electronics, a cooler, and snorkeling equipment.

Head out to deep seawater and do both trolling and deep-sea fishing depending on the weather conditions and where the bait is. Target Barracuda, Marlin, Sailfish, Tuna, Amberjack, and many other offshore predators. If you prefer to stay closer to the shore, you can go after Roosterfish, Cubera Snapper, Mackerel, and more.

Everything you need for a great day of fishing is included such as complete fishing equipment, cold drinks (beer, soft drinks, water), and snacks.

Catch your lunch, have fun, and relax with Maryola Tours!

Got us on some fish.
4 Hour Trip (AM) on June 13, 20262 adults
Went out this morning on a 4 hour trip. Slow start with no bites at first 4-5 spots. Captian Daniel kept trying and the next few spots we killed it. Many red snapper, a grouper, a tilefish and a few others. trolled around after that and landed a nice skipjack tuna. they cleaned the fish for us and provided a cold beer for the trip back. for the price it absolutely cannot be beat. thank you for a great day and plenty to eat for dinner!

Mission Accomplished!
4 Hour Trip (AM) on March 22, 20262 adults
We wanted to catch fish to eat. Johnny and Joseph had us on fish with the first line down once we got to their first spot. Mission accomplished! The boat is modest but that is exactly what we chose and expected. We prefer to be able to touch the water and their style of boat allows for that. The rods and reels were top notch and worked smoothly. The crew, Johnny and Joseph, were expert at their craft. The wind and waves kicked up some while we were out and they handled the conditions expertly, all while fishing at the same time. We caught plenty of snapper and grouper to feed our families within the first hour of our half-day trip. We then switched to trolling for trophy fish. Even though that approach didn't produce fish it was great to have time to try. I appreciated the care both Johnny and Joseph showed for the fish we caught but weren't keepers. They took the time to make sure each fish released was able to swim away under its own power. I recommend Maryola Tours. I will definitely book another trip with them!

Daniel and Jonny were awesome!
3/4 Day Trip on February 20, 20262 adults1 child
We had an amazing time and we caught fish! The boat in good condition, had food, drinks, and a good time. We went out early for the tuna bite, and we caught several yellowfins and skipjacks on spin reels. Then we went for snapper and caught four on a jigging setup. Then caught a bull shark because my son asked to catch a shark, I thought they were kidding when they said yes, but that made his day!. We finished with trolling for mahi, but they weren't biting that day. When we got off the boat we had plenty of fish for lunches and dinner for a few days. I will be looking them up again when we go back.

4 Hour Trip (AM) on January 17, 20262 adults
Booked this charter because of the positive reviews and found out for myself that they are well deserved. Captain Daniel and his first mate were friendly locals that knew their waters. They put us on fish and we caught more than I expected. I'm a better fisherman after the experience and the captain's guidance. We got skipjack tuna, parrot fish, trigger, and a massive Rainbow runner that the captain commented was one of the best of the last year. The first mate fillet the rainbow and gave us the best part. We then had lunch on the beach at Walters, based on the captain's recommendation, and it was fantastic. Five stars doesn't really describe our level of satisfaction. Book this charter!

3/4 Day Trip on May 7, 20262 adults
Went out with Daniel and Johnny on 2/7/26. Daniel wanted to leave an hour early, which I like. we were out on the fishing grounds way before everyone else. Started off with Skipjacks, trying to pick yellowfin out of the schools. Ended up with one Yellowfin. My buddy asked to catch bigger fish, immediately hooked into a nice Sail. Did some jigging for red snapper, then went for Cabrera. Hooked into a massive Bull Shark while fishing the bottom for Cabrera, we wanted bigger fish and got it. Daniel put us on the fish and Johnny is uncanny at hooking up. Pura Vida!
