The experience we had with this company was great! They messaged us to change the date because the day we picked was going to be to rough to go out and fish. So we ended up on a different boat The Orion. They picked us up outside our hotel (not at the lobby, we had to go to front gate to get picked up). They took us to the boat and off we went. The captain was Manuel and first mate was Louie .  Louie showed us how to bait the line and how things worked. They were both nice and happy and helpful.  We were a group of 5. Some of us were sea sick. Louie helped them out with putting water over our necks and told us to splash water on our face and to do some other things to try and help us all enjoy the trip.  We caught two mahi mahi.  On our way back to shore Louie filleted one of the fish and cooked it up for us and made a fish salad. It was amazing!!! The trip was great! Thank you so much Manuel and Louie!!!

We had a fantastic time fishing. My wife and I always enjoy fishing when we go to the Dominican. We always get a private boat when we go because most times with the shared fishing you watch them catch a fish or are not prepared for ruff seas and get sick. Raphael and peter were fantastic. Caught two barracuda and a small blue marlin within 2 hours of our 4 hour trip. Well worth the money we spent. Thanks to the crew for a fantastic day.

Even though we had to cut our trip short (more below), Captain Alex was great and I would recommend this boat if you are looking for a specific type of outing. I booked this 3-hour, bottom fishing trip because I was with my kids and I didn’t want to book something that was twice the price that went out in much deeper water for bigger fish. The pre-trip communication was excellent (though knowing some Spanish was helpful, but not required). We were picked up at our resort on-time (driver was already waiting), and the vans were clean and had good A/C both ways. The company rep met us on the beach for payment of the remaining balance (and offered either cash or credit options), and then we boarded the boat with Alex. He was the only crew-member, and it’s a small boat for 3 people fishing max, so it was perfect. His English was competent (though we often spoke a mix of Spanish and English), and he was very knowledgeable and very kind/patient. The gear was good. He had plenty of water/soda/beer. We trolled on the way to the spot (about 30 min, no bites, but that’s not unexpected), all within sight of the shore (including a pretty stretch of national preserve). At our bottom fishing spot, we were able to bait our own hooks, cast etc. if we wanted (my preference), or Alex would do it for you (my son’s preference). He also let my son be in charge of “chumming” with crumbled tortilla chips to attract schools of smaller fish (kind of silly, but he got a kick out of it). After about an hour with several bites and hookups (but no landed fish), the swells were getting pretty high and unfortunately my son got seasick. It’s also very, very hot and humid this time of year, which didn’t help. If you have ever been seasick, it’s hard to turn it around until you get back to shore, so we decided to head back early. Captain Alex was very kind and had no judgement, offering water/juice as well as offering to take us snorkeling nearby instead. He also called ahead to make sure our ride home was waiting for us at the beach. So not the best trip in terms of fish, but that’s how fishing goes sometimes, and my son and I had a good experience together on the water…I would definitely recommend this trip for a shorter trip for a small group, targeting smaller fish, on a smaller, less expensive boat than the bigger, deep-sea boats.

I enjoyed the fishing session very much in a great weather. I was picked up on time at the beach right in front of my hotel, hopped onto the boat and was off to fishing - it was a very efficient start. The bite was slow on this day, but we managed to catch a nice puddingwife and a yellowtail snapper. The captain was very friendly and worked hard to make the fishing session productive. Highly recommended!

Although the boat was an older model and bathroom Iin need of a little love, we had a fantastic time out on the Ocean with Captain Raphael and first mate Miguel. 

3 hours into our trip with little action and then suddenly…a real thrill.  Fish on.  Super excitement on the boat. Large fish on the line.  My boys reeling as hard as they could and the fish fighting back.  After about 10 minutes, we see the fish bybthe side of the boat.  A 80lbs White Marlin.    What a great trip.  Great experience with my boys and father I law.   

And then to end it off, we catch a 6 or 7lbs Barracuda for added fun.
