Alex did a great job of getting us on the trout first thing in the morning. It was our (myself & my 8 year old son) first guided trip. We fish locally all around from shore and wanted to head out on the flats to see what we could catch. Alex took some time showing my son how to work a live croaker in the grass. We ended up with a limit of trout and one drum. My son first caught his Speckled Troup PB of 23” in the first 20 minutes of fishing, and then caught a 25.5” 4lb Speck as the last fish of the trip.
Alex’s boat is comfortable and has ample room to fish. Alex took care of all the bait we needed, and his tackle is simple, straightforward, and worked perfectly.

I booked this fishing charter for my husband and I. This was our first time doing a fishing charter so we were very unsure what to expect. I texted and messaged Capt. Alex numerous times with a variety of questions and he was so patient! This patience continued throughout the charter. The wind made fishing that day very challenging but it was still possible. Shortly into our trip I caught a competition sized redfish. We also caught a lot of bay catfish (which are poisonous 😬- thankfully Alex warned us not to touch and kept us safe) and my husband even caught a stingray which we released after removing the hook. Because of how slow the day was, Alex took us to a variety of the most successful fishing spots. He definitely worked as hard as we did to get us some great fish on a challenging day! Thank you Alex, we will definitely be back to try again!

Despite the challenges the rain brought this week, Alex did a fantastic job in working us in, keeping us safe and putting us on the fish the entire morning.  He made it easy for us to enjoy our outing with all the comforts , essential tackle and an awesome boat!  We limited out and threw back at least 3 larger trout that were over 24 inches.  !!  Thank u Alex we will definitely book again and refer u to our friends and family!!  Lupe and Adrian Sotelo

My son and I decided that we wanted to go fishing in Corpus Friday evening. We saw an opening on FishingBooker for that next morning. Alexander, our captain was able to respond that night, find and reserve bait and had us on the water by 6:45 am. Although the bite was slow that day, Alexander’s knowledge of the area put us on the fish and we able to have a great day. I highly recommend Zander Ray on the bay

I booked a trip with Alex for my son’s birthday. Alex is an awesome guy and guide. We had low expectations on a very windy day but, Alex knew exactly what to do. We limited on trout and reds and threw a lot back.  We had a 7 hour trip but we were tapping out about 6 hours in. My son’s best day fishing. Thanks so much Alex! We will see you again!
