We were a little early but ne was ready. !  We left the boat ramp/dock and after a short run, My grandsons (age 10 in Sept and 11) began fishing with the Capt. What a great experience.  The Captain Donavan knew his waters and exactly what to use to catch fish.  We did a 2 hr trip and caught several fishes in that time.  He answered all our questions and more importantly, he kept our lines baited so we could catch fish.  I’d highly recommend Captain Donavan with Reel McCoys.

Capt Donovan was great. We caught a variety of fish. Everything from a near 60lb black drum and large red fish, lots of striped bass, toad fish. Lots of fun. We had a 7 year and 10 year (girls!) along and Donovan was so patient and attentive. We had a great a day!

The Captain knows how to get fish in the boat. The afternoon trip started off slow, but the Captain kept us moving until he put us on them. Got some really nice Reds and a few to take home. I recommend this trip, nice boat and gear as well. The Captain was great.

If you want a fishing experience this is it. My kids and I had an amazing time. We’ve fished in HHI before that time just wasn’t the best. Know the type of fish you’re going for and the season, and Donovan will make an experience happen. Granted you can’t catch fish every time no matter where you go, but the time here is not wasted at all. And I’d be really surprised if you don’t bring home a great memory.
