What an amazing time. Not only were Sawyer and Dee so very informative, they never give up. We were on our way headed in thinking it may be a no catch day until we hooked on to an estimated 500 lb Blue Marlin. My 13 yr old boy took the hot seat and between Captain Dee steering us around it and Sawyer, my son and I we worked 45 minutes to get it up to the boat to get the catch. It is truly a memory that we will never forget. I recommend this to anyone visiting Kona as a Must, must do!!!

I was hoping for a few more fish, but I was pleased with getting to drop lines in the water the first few minutes. This was a half day afternoon trip so I wasnt holding my breath on a great day of catching. We seen so many tuna jumping, but they werent too hungry! However we did get to hook up on a purdy striped blue marlin! The crew did a great job of coaching me to get it in and helping every step of the way, even with a fellow boater crossing right over the line while pulling it in! They took care of the situation in a classy manner as well. We were lucky enough to get a whale spouting off just a little ways off as well. Who needs to pay for a whale tour LOL. As a bonus my 11 year old daughter got to bring in a nice tuna that we had for dinner. They were great with her as well. It wasnt exactly how I had hoped but they made it a good day none the less. Thanks guys!

Boat and crew were ready to go when we arrived about 10 minutes early. Captain reviewed the plan for our 3/4 day we booked, explained the boat set up and we were out of the dock and on open water in no time. Deck hand asked who was catching the first fish and then walked my son through the chair set up. Within the first 30 minutes he was pulling in a good size Ono. Captain came down and said well we have dinner now, time for the show, and they swapped out lures and we were going for Marlin. Reese explained the chair to my other son and got him all set up. In no time he was fighting a Blue Marlin. He was able to fight it for 20 or so minutes and we got it to the boat. It was a “small one” about 150 lbs, my son couldn’t believe that was considered small he was worn out.  We got some good pictures and a great video thanks to Reese, tagged it and let it go. We continued to fish and I was able to pull in another Ono, which made a great dinner that night when we returned to the condo.
Captain Dee and Reese were great, very personal and explained a lot about island, and fishing, boat set up was comfortable. My wife even enjoyed her time with us. I would highly recommend this boat and crew. Even went so far to ask if we had a cooler for the fish after they had filleted them, we didn’t so the captain loaded up a bag of ice to put them in, to keep them cool. He even explained a good way to cook them. Captain Dee’s idea of “Dinner and a show” was spot on. We had a great time and I would book with them again.

Caption Dee and First Mate Sawyer are an amazing team and do their best to cover water and get you to fish.  I went as a single but will definitely return with friends and family. We had a perfect weather day and the water was crystal clear so got a bonus to see a large pod of dolphins and some pilot whales.  Awesome outfit! I have fished all over the world and highly recommend this group.  I will be back!!

Dallas and Sawyer were a great pair to fish with this morning. They communicated everything that needed done and when. This was my first marlin fishing trip and needless to say, it won’t be the last. To see their excitement after I landed a big striped marlin, as well as my own, will make this a memory not soon forgotten!
