My family of 4 had a great trip with Captain Saul.  Parking was available right at the pin drop location and the boat was all ready to go.  He got us out to the fishing spots very quickly and helped everyone get lines in the water with fishing tips on how to catch the target species we were looking for.  We speak a little Spanish but Saul’s English was very good which made the whole process easier. We caught sea bass, triggers and red snapper. We even caught a baby grouper. We will have to come back again to try for its gran daddy:) It was a calm day so being on a small boat was no problem.  The sunset trip was amazing as we caught fish, saw dolphins and got to watch the sunset on our way back to the dock.  We will definitely book again.

The boat was OK, depending on what you’re used to. No fish finder so we were “flying blind”. The trip was rescheduled from an 8AM trip to 7AM which only gave us about 40 min to fish the still tide (12:03PM starting time) instead of 1 hour and 40 min. We were finally getting interest on the live bait but had to go. Being prepared with tide times and adjusting a 6hour trip to maximize one’s chances to catch a nice fish should be a minimum.

A fish finder should be standard, this is 2025.
I don’t think there was a gaff on the boat which would have made bringing a 50lb grouper (if we had caught one) har to bring onboard. Maybe I’m wrong but I looked around and didn’t see one.

So it was an OK trip. We went to the spot where the bigger fish can usually be found but a fish finder would have confirmed or denied their presence. We could have perhaps moved to different spots

The captain is a good guy. Friendly and he filled our catch (just a bunch of 3lb corvinas yesterday 4/20/25)

Captain Saul knows where the fish are at!  Went out for a half day with my wife and teen daughter.  Got out to the spot quick and starting dropping lines right away.  Caught a cooler full of trigger fish and had ama amazing time. Highly recommend!

We have a small family group of 3 people including 7 yrs old kid. We caught about 17 fishes and had a great time with a help from super kind captain.
I highly recommend this fishing boat to anyone who’s planning fishing in rocky point!

Took my two boys out for a trip and we had a great time.  Communication was great before hand, caught a lot of fish, can saw a beautiful sunset.  Would recommend this trip to anyone.  We plan to come back and go again.
