Southwest Florida Fishing Report โ€“ Schools of Redfish Showing Up Fishing has been solid across the flats and backcountry of Southwest Florida! Weโ€™ve been finding good schools of redfish moving through the area, especially on the incoming and outgoing tides. Fish are scattered in groups across the flats, and when you find them, the action has been steady. Soft plastics and live bait have both been working well depending on conditions, with best success coming on cleaner water and light wind days. Along with the redfish, weโ€™re still seeing some snook and scattered trout, but the highlight lately has been consistently locating those schools of redfish cruising the flats. Overall, great conditions right now for sight fishing and covering water to locate active fish.

Another night tarpon trip for the books down in Boca Grande, and this one did not disappoint. The conditions lined up just rightโ€”light boat traffic, good tide movement, and the fish were exactly where they should be. We got tight early and stayed on them most of the night. Multiple solid hook-ups, a few big runs, and some aerial shows that never get old. Night fishing for tarpon hits differentโ€”quieter, cooler, and when that drag starts screaming in the dark, itโ€™s a whole different level of adrenaline. The bite has been consistent, and the fish are moving through strong right now. If youโ€™ve been thinking about getting in on the night action, this is the time to do it. Appreciate the crew for a great trip and sticking with itโ€”paid off with some unforgettable moments on the water.
