Running angling trips out of Boca Grande,Charlotte Harbor,Placida,Port Charlotte and punta gorda. Southwest Shorelines invites you to check out the local fishery in style.
Capt. Newberry aims to tailor every trip to your specific needs, so let him know what you're after! You're looking at 4 to 8-hour trips, where you'll usually go after the likes of Snook, Redfish, Trout, Snapper, and Tarpon depending on the weather and time of year.
Your adventure begins on board a 23ft Hanson boat that can fit a maximum of 4 anglers. The price of your trip includes all the rods, reels, and terminal tackle you'll need for a productive day on the water. Your trip will include all the necessary fishing licenses for the day.
You're welcome to keep all legal species caught during the trip. The boat will be supplied with drinks for your pleasure, be sure to let the captain know if you have any questions or want to bring your own.

My wife and I took a quick morning trip with Captain Matt. He was very patient and we were able to boat a number of fish. My wife caught a snook and I got a number of really big speckled trout.

Really a fantastic day, started out catching some 35 to 40 pound black drum, if you wanna tug on your line, that’ll do it! Spent some time pitch and shiners for snook caught a bonus flounder and some trout also. Look for Tarpon but they’re not quite in yet will be booking again with him.

Captain Matthew is first class! He will put you on fish, then you have to do your part. We spent 10 hours with Captain Matt over two days, he was great with my family and helped us make solid memories on our first inshore fishing trip. Captain Matthew is a great guy, very knowledgeable and someone I highly recommend for your next fishing adventure! We will definitely go out with Captain Matthew again!
