Mark Westmoreland of Capt. West Charters, and he went above and beyond to accommodate us for a 7 AM trip the very next morning.

Neither my son nor I have much fishing experience, but Capt. Westmoreland was an incredible guide and teacher. He patiently walked us through everything we needed to know, from casting techniques to understanding fish behavior. His knowledge of the area was impressive—he took us to all the right spots, and we caught a ton of fish!

To top it off, he filleted and iced our fish for us, making the experience completely hassle-free. We had an amazing time on the water and will definitely book with Capt. Westmoreland again. Captain Mark grew up in this area, so he knows it like the back of his hand. Mot of our fishing occurred at the south end of the Brazos River near the Gulf. We caught speckled trout and blue catfish at the exact same spot which was a 1st for me. Mark’s a very personable and knowledgeable guy - just the kind of guy you want to spend the day fishing with.

Captain Mark was just what I was looking for in a guide Weather was not ideal strong south winds outgoing tides and chances of storms but I was looking to see how to fish the area Mark also worked with my niece and made it where she caught more fish than me or my brother would highly recommend him plan on another trip sometime in the future
