After an amazing trip with captain Bryan last July we knew that we’d be back this summer for another charter. This was the BEST decision we could have made. Captain Bryan took us out about 18 miles off shore and set us up to fish the bottom. Before long we were hooked on snapper, B-liners and the most fun catch of the day, a massive cobia. Captain Bryan was calm and cool under pressure, helping and guiding my brother on reeling in this beast and bringing home a 40lb fish. We had some fun hooking up some sharks and saw a ton of wildlife while fishing. I said it last trip and I will say it again, I can’t recommend a better charter for the Sebastian area. If you want a knowledgeable, friendly and skilled captain to put you on the fish, Southern Thunder is the way to go!

If you ever dreamed of a professionally guided, successful fishing excursion, this is your guide. Period. Captain Bryan has all of the qualities of a great guide in spades. We left the ramp on time and within 20 minutes he had us on the bite. Fresh live bait for the bottom and plugs for some top water action kept us busy for an hour. Often asking us what we wanted to target, he made sure that we were fishing for it. Intimately knowledgeable about the area, he shared thoughts and answered every question, even the dumb ones we asked. This guy is the ‘’ reel’’ deal. Being from the NE, I’m not a Fla kind of guy but we’ll be back in October to fish of the Thunder again..and I can’t wait. Thanks Captain Bryan.

I have never got to pull on more or bigger fish than during my half day with Captain Bryan!

I am a relative newbie and Captain Bryan and his mate took their time to teach me the techniques to land plentiful and large fish.  We started catching bait and then travelled 20 miles off shore to catch Cobia, Bonita and a variety of other fish. The day became a battle with the Bull Sharks … and we won more than our fair share.

Captain Bryan was more interested in me having a great day than hitting the dock on time.  He went above, beyond and further still to find every fish we could.  It was an epic day and I would fish with him again in a heartbeat.  I read many reviews and chose carefully … and often I still get it wrong … but this time I got it soooo right.  Newbies and old hands will have a blast with Captain Bryan. 

My husband really wanted to fish this area for snook and other seasonal game fish.  We booked the 4 hour mid day due to tides as a couples weekend event for the 2 of us. My husband fishes often and I fish very little.
Bryan was friendly,  extremely knowledgeable, helpful and handled the waves and weather like a true pro! The boat was a center console and had everything we needed without being fussy or over done.
It was a choppy cloudy day, and he knew exactly where to take us, (we did the pier, and jettys at the inlet) and tell us where to cast, angle the boat and all while baiting and helping bring in our catch. We almost immediately caught, sheepshead, snook and jacks.
When I had enough of the waves he took us in to the channel and we fished a few other locations which was also just really beautiful and relaxing. We packed our own snacks and drinks and muched a little between fish.

I have never seen a captain try so hard to make a trip happen, bait was slow to get bitting but stayed at it and got enough to go catch something. Tried many spots but like the bait, was hard to get going, had a great time. If you are looking for a great time on the water, this is the captain for you, won’t find anyone that try’s harder to ensure you have a great time !!
