Background: The business started out for us as guest being taken out fishing on this very boat. Having a love for the ocean and fishing we decided one day to purchase this business. Having a love for providing a special experience for our guest and making memories is what we enjoy. Once you've fished in Destin you will be hooked! Just like we were. I would say my favorite species of fish is definently grouper, fun to fight and great to eat!!
Techniques: We enjoy pretty much all of it deep dropping, bottom dropping, and trolling but would have to say deep dropping is our absolute favorite cause you never know what you may hook up

Don’t use Reel Legend Fishing Charter! Captain and deck hand were polite,but did not get us on the fish! Just felt they were un motivated or maybe just not experienced enough to find fish. Had Some bites, No Keepers! First hour spent fishing for live bait, really! Never in my life have I chartered or been on a charter where you fish for your own bait. Spent an hour. For our trip for party of 7, I believe there was both positive factors and areas of improvement. First the positives: Captain Chip did a good job putting us on the fish - going out as far as necessary to find some keepers. Hey Jonathon, thanks for taking time to leave a review for us. As one of the owners of the boat I am greatly disappointed to hear of the poor overall condition of the boat. Over the past few weeks they have been doing repairs to the boat but that is no excuse for the condition. We are taking care of these issues and making more repairs this week and next week.
