We had a great time fishing with Captain Matt. He really investigated what we wanted to do and ensured we had the experience we wanted. We were eager to see wildlife, for example, and he found a pair of very excitedly mating dolphins for us. He brought fresh bait that he had caught that morning and brought us to several different environments, and we caught three species of fish. We just finished frying our sea trout. Matt shared all sorts of tidbits about the history of Sarasota waterways, pointed out a few celebrities’ homes, and taught us a bit about the fish we were catching. He has a very relaxed manner, and I would be confident about bringing a range of guests on his boat. We will definitely hire him again for our next trip to Sarasota.

This trip started with me messaging Matt, even prior to booking the trip. I told him I wanted some cool pictures, maybe some bigger fish, or sharks.  He said it sounded like fun, so I booked the trip.  The morning of the trip, Matt suggested we go for some kings, then sharks, then, if that fails, some nice snook.  I agreed, and we headed out.  The next three hours were some of the most fun ever I’ve had while fishing.  We immediately laid into the Bonita.  After pulling seven, or so, into the boat, we decided to switch gears and go after sharks.  Within a half hour, I had a 5 foot black tip on the end of my line.  Once he was released, we went in and did some inshore fishing.  Again, I could not keep a line in the water.  We caught all sorts of fish. Then, when I had hooked onto a monster snook and had it swim into some dock pilings, my amazing captain/guide, kindly asks for the pole and dives into the water to untangle the fish.  I could not believe it, and I could not stop laughing.  I had an absolutely wonderful morning with Matt.  I highly recommend anyone goes with this guy to catch some fish.  Again, it was a blast.  Thanks again, Matt.
