Did 4 hour morning inshore fishing trip with Captain Victor.  The charter started at 7am.  My 14 year old son and I got to the Wrightsville beach boat ramp about 6:50 am.  Captain Victor was already there with his boat in the water, and a live well full of finger mullet for bait as well as shrimp.  It was a cold morning (in the 40’s). Captain Victor knows all the hot fishing spots….before long we were hauling in beautiful sheepshead and black drum that bit the shrimp.  We also caught 2 cool stingrays! We targeted red drum with live and cut finger mullet.  Captain Victor was great with my son and taught him new casting techniques that helped him flip the bait more accurately!  The Captain is very knowledgeable and personable and we had a really good time!  He cleaned our catch and got us safely back to the dock on time.  The boat is a 21 foot center console made for one thing……catching fish…..and that we did.  The boat has a comfortable dry ride and feels very stable,and feels like a bigger boat.

Victor was incredibly accommodating for our trip. We came down from NY during what turned out to be a week full of storms and rain. He let us reschedule due to weather, then when we showed up on the rescheduled date, it started downpouring and storming again, and he told us we could try again the next day. He got us out on the water the next day, giving us a heads up that fishing would likely be slow and we could cancel and get our deposit back if we wanted. We chose to try it out anyways, and we had a great time. We weren’t very lucky with the fishing, but my youngest caught a little shark and a crab. Captain Victor had us try numerous spots to see if anything would bite, but we left with no fish. We knew this would be likely and it didn’t dampen any spirits! Even without catching any, we had so much fun and the kids are already talking about trying again next year. I would highly recommend this charter to anyone looking. Thank you to Captain Victor for such a memorable experience!

Victor greeted us with a smile at the boat ramp! This trip was for my six year old son and myself. Victor helped my son cast into the perfect spots and answered the 1000 questions my son asked him. With each cast Victor told us tips on how to catch fish and what type of fish. We caught a MASSIVE sheepshead and Victor cleaned the fish for us. Excellent hospitality and knowledge as a Captain. We thoroughly enjoyed our 2-hour late afternoon fishing charter with Victor.  He provided all the equipment and bait we needed to do some inter coastal waterway fishing. Victor was a great captain who was patient with those of us who were beginners. He was very knowledgeable of the area and all the best fishing holes. He also provided a very fun and safe ride for our family of four (kids ages 11 and 14). When we return to Wrightsville Beach, we will definitely charter with Victor again.

Best time I’ve had fishing on the water in a long time! Captain Victor was early to get us on the water and super helpful throughout the trip. He answered all my questions and was easy to talk to! Not only does he get you to the spots with fish, but will help you target the ones you desire too! He wouldn’t let us leave till I finally got my first sheepshead!

Overall fantastic experience and highly recommend to anyone in the Wilmington area. Will be back next time we’re in NC!
