While I’ve been to Bermuda several times this was my 1st deep sea fishing trip there since I was a child. Captain Sloan contacted me prior to the trip and asked if I wanted to change the date as there were several large tuna being caught in the afternoon. I thought it was a great idea and off we went on a calm and beautiful day. The wind eventually picked up a bit and I caught a barracuda. We continued fishing and with the help of Max and Captain Sloan, I caught a 30 lb. wahoo, which was just fantastic. I can honestly tell you that the crew was just as excited as I was. While we didn’t catch that tuna due to the currents being stirred up by Hurricane Florence I had a tremendous time fishing, enjoying the ocean and learning a great deal about the Island. Towards the end of the day the Captain was kind enough to give me a great sightseeing tour as he knew I was taking photos. Captain Sloan and Max were extremely personable and quite knowledgeable regarding there trade. I know that the next time I’m in Bermuda I am without a doubt going on another fishing trip with them, and if you want a great time with a friendly crew and a fantastic time fishing then Captain Sloan and Atlantic Spray Charters is the way to go. Excellent day on the water with 5 teens and fathers. 8 total which will cost a bit extra.On a day when no one else was catching anything we were on Tuna (blackfin) and wahoo. Everyone boated fish and it was all due to the diligence and hardwork of Capt Sloan and his first mate, Max. They were very knowledgeable and had great pride for their native Bermuda and its waters. They have a wealth of knowledge about the flora, fauna, and history of their beautiful isles. I would gladly book with Captain Sloan again.
