Both captain and crew were great. We went really far out had one big one that got away and two great mahi-mahi catches. Handed the fish right over to Lucy’s restaurant on the Pier, a 20 foot walk from the Jeliray, ordered our sides and 15 minutes later our beautifully cooked fish dinner was ready. 

Don’t worry about the one, 1-star review they received; it was because someone was mad the card reader didn’t work.  Certainly doesn’t have anything to do with fishing, boat, and crew.

My husband and I had a great time and he caught a nice wahoo. The captain Sau and his first mate Richard were the best! They made it a comfortable trip and we learned a lot about the area and Aruba. Kind people and very knowledgeable and talented. Rene was quick to respond to questions and it was a quick ride from the Marriott stelaris where we were staying. When we got back Lucy’s cooked up the fish 3 ways and ways and was amazing.  Would recommend.

Very fast and easy booking with Jeliray - Rene was prompt in replies and confirmed to meet them right behind Lucy’s at the renaissance Marina. Weather was good and we got started right away from 7am cruising out, they had prepared bait and dropped lines right away. Fishing was slower despite seeing numerous flying fish, we successfully caught a massive Wahoo on the hand line which was awesome to pull in!
Captain and Raymond were excellent hosts and would highly recommend them for a fishing charter!
We gave the wahoo to the captain since it was our last day in our Airbnb, next time we would recommend to keep a couple fillets and cook at Lucy’s for $16usd which seems quite reasonable!

Captain and crew were very nice. We booked a whole day fishing trip to try to target bill fish. It was a slow bite and we know fish are never a guarantee. However we were very disappointed in our trip for other very concerning reasons. We caught 2 Mahi and 1 barracuda. We are people who fish every weekend at home and have done multiple fishing trips. Every charter we have been on keep the fish on ice. We started catching fish after a few hours of trolling. When we caught the fish they were put into a wooden box and left to die, no ice or anything. The guy just rinsed the fish with salt water everytime a fish was added. That first fish sat in that box in the hottest part of the day for 6 hours, and the other two followed shortly behind them. Fish should never just sit like that because it causes bacteria to grow rapidly. My husband told me we are not eating that fish and I did some research. Bacteria grow and the fish enters a danger zone within an hour in this kind of heat. We are so disappointed we paid 900 and didnt even get to eat the fish we caught. We are on vacation and did not want to get food poisoning. 900 and an entire day of our trip was wasted. I followed up with the owner of this charter and expressed my concerns and his response was that the fish can last 8 hours in that box and that its not poison. This kind of thought is dangerous to the well being of the clients. I would not recommend this charter if you actually want to have dinner from the fish you catch. However the crew should not be risking the health of their customers. A few bags of ice and the entire trip could have been different. Safety and health should be #1 priority. We ended up giving the crew the fish. We paid 900 to go for a boat ride and catch their dinner.
