First of all big thanks to Patrick and his crew for his hospitality and great guiding!!! Normally im used to fish out on the caribbean ocean so the first time i was a bit sceptic about these dutch waters, but booyyyy was i wrong! It was an awesome day on the water. Pike after Purge after Pike gave me the run around and sweatty armpits :) Everything you need is on the boat rods, lures and high end fish finders to get you on the best spots. Im looking forward to our next trip with these guys. They really showed me what a true chase feels like.

Because the wheather forcast was super hot, Patrick decised to start early! He predicted that the zander will be active early morning and damm he was right!!! The first two hours were full of hard strikes of big zanders. When the sun showed herself more the zanders lost their intrest in our Baits. This is the time to search for open water pikes he said! Using the lifescope we searched on the open water for signals. After fifteen minutes or so, he spotted a signal close to the bottom. He points out the direction to cast. I made the cast and let the bait sink to the bottom. Oké, now just reel slow Patrick advices. Then a strike like no other follows!!! I set the hook. Oo mannn the fish are strong on this by a big river fed lake! After a picture the around ninety cm swims of strong. We repeat this proces several times. It was exceptional to see witch presision is needed to effectively use the lifecope. That is why you hire a guide on this kind of waters. When the sun was on the highest point we satisfied left the water. After all a excellent morning on the water. Thanks for the adventure Patrick!!!

I’ve been to several guided fishing trips in the past. This one, was one of the most memorable ones. Patrick made a fantastic guiding tour, kind, knowledgeable, experienced, patient and all in all the guide you’re looking for. My son and I had so much fun fishing with Patrick this winter.  We were staying in Amsterdam and looking for an adventure outside the city.  Caught a bunch of sea bass but the highlight was definitely catching a big hard fighting Zander.  Great memories, highly recommend, thanks Patrick!
