Captain and first mate provided a perfect outing for my wife and I 30th wedding anniversary. We were picked up on the beach in front of our hotel and had a great outing. Caught fish and had it for dinner, which was our goal.

Had a great day of fishing on the Mad Marlin with Capt Andres and crew.  A father-son outing that won’t be soon forgotten. We started the day offshore for some bottom fishing to make sure dinner was in the cooler. Capt Andres put us on the fish and we reeled in reds and grouper 2 at time.  Then we moved on to troll for the big boys.  After an hour or so trolling with little action, we pulled the lines and Capt Andres took us a little further out to find the action. The first and second mates were on top of their game the whole day. Clearly experienced mates. In no time we had hooked a 70 lb sailfish that was a super fun catch, jumping and popping all the way to the boat for photo opps and release. Lines were returned to the water and only minutes later we had a 350 lbs Blue Marlin hooked. It was an hour long battle to boat that big boy.  MAD MARLIN earned its name today!!  We celebrated with ceviche on the boat!!! Left extremely happy and properly exhausted with a life long memory made. Highly recommend!! Capt and crew were great. Communication was great.  Perfect for the occasion.

What a trip, it was great, fabulous, and wonderful experience… It was worth the money and definitely a memory that will last a lifetime. Thank you see next time !!

We had a couple of good shots at Sailfish but overall, fishing was slow. Definitely not the Mad Marlin’s fault. They wouldn’t quit though!

A remarkable day! Captain Andres and the first mate Arrixa were spectacular from the moment we set foot on the Mad Marlin. We could not have asked for a better experience. We cruised to Tortuga and put out some lines on the way there and caught a couple big eye tuna and bonitas. We were able to snorkel at Tortuga and then hang at the beach for a while before cruising back toward our hotel at Herradura. Every detail was amazing, especially when they cut up the fresh caught tuna and we enjoyed some sashimi onboard.
