Overall great experience. He communicated well via text made the ride very comfortable and he also had a great personality would recommend it to others.

Amazing man and amazing day. I’ve taken many fishing trips and the amount of effort captain Shane obviously put into us being able to land “the big one” was second to none. Fish aren’t biting? Last go over here. Oh you wanted to catch tarpon? Let’s drive the boat 30 minutes the other direction. I’ve simply never experienced this level of professionalism in a boat captain let alone most other industries. His passion was so obvious and contagious. At one point one of our party was basically done and ready to tab out but captain Shane said “let’s take one more shot for some jack” and by golly I fought one and caught one. For anyone wondering about the value of a full day trip I promise you at the end of the day when most captains are worried about dollars per hour and being home and over it, captain Shane was more worried about making sure we had the time of our life, and he delivered in spades. Needless to say we have a captain for life. This is coming from a person who has lived on the east coast of Florida for years and thought he knew “all the best hidden spots” and was shown he doesn’t know a thing compared to captain Shane. 11/10 will absolutely be back on his boat

So we first fished with captain Shane last year. This year just as last year he did not disappoint. We didn’t catch as many fish as we did last year but he put us on the fish as soon as we got out there. My boys caught the biggest red snappers we’ve ever seen. Huge !!!  Sucks we couldn’t keep em but that’s the joy of fishing. The memories and the time.  The weather did not cooperate at all but Shane still managed to keep us fishing. The only part that sucks is at the end of the day we landed on a real hot spot but the weather had other plans. Shane got us outta there just in time so thanks to him we made it home safe and sound. I would recommend captain Shane to anyone looking for a recommended fishing guide.  He is top notch and 100% official.  Thank you captain Shane for another great experience. Captain Shane Trottier contacted us a couple times prior to fishing date to touch base and the day before trip to warn of rough waters on day of our trip which we were fine with being experienced anglers. Day of trip this guy had us on fish ALL Day!!!  He was fun and super helpful!  Felt like he had a mate with as on top of everything he was lol. He treated us with respect which is important since we have had some terrible tyrant captains before!  This guy really cared about getting us on fish and even stayed out past our 8 hours!!!  Caught about 100 fish and our first sharks and cobia!!  Caught a nice 25-30 pound? Red Snapper and another 20 pounder. Overall caught about 20 red snappers about 20 sharks an AmberJack, Triggerfish, vermillion snapper, Lane Snapper, blue fish, plus many others!!!  I said it before but will say it again we had a great day and hope to go out again sometime with Captain Shane!!
