My morning trip was a catch and release trip, and my guests kept me busy for the first hour of the trip. If I wasn't putting some more Guide's Choice Punch Bait on the hook, I was unhooking and releasing a fish. After that, the kids got hot, so I took them to my favorite swimming spot to cool off. We went back to fishing for the last hour of the 3 hour trip, and the fish were right where we left them. I also had a 2 hour afternoon trip, and we went right back to the same spot. The fish were still there, and my guests only wanted to keep a few, so we were catching and releasing the majority of the trip.

On Sunday, I had a 2 hour Intro to Fishing trip, and we were targeting larger Blue Cats. We didn't run into any monsters but did find some nice eater size fish.

Last night, I had a 2 Hour Intro to Fishing trip. I knew it was going to be a good evening when I was demonstrating the technique and had a bite as soon as I dropped down. They caught on quick and we ended up with a total of 47 fish in the cooler, a broken reel, and a slimy deck at the end of the trip. The action was steady for the duration of the trip, and we threw a bunch of small fish back as well as had a large number of missed bites.

Last week was a quantity over quality week. We fished mostly for eater size channel cats. I had a 2 hour trip on Friday afternoon, and the action was steady with eater sized channel cats. We ended up with 26 fish on trip with 2 people fishing. I had a 6 hour trip on Sunday morning, we went right back to the spot we were fishing on Friday. The fish were stacked up, and we were 10 fish shy of our three person limit a couple of hours into the trip. While we still had some limit left, we decided to go try to find some bigger fish, but they just weren't in the areas I thought they would be. We ended up going back to our first spot to finish out our limit. I'm glad I brought the extra cooler because we filled the fish box and half the cooler. The bite on the Sunday afternoon Intro to Fishing trip was a little slower and it took my guest a little while to get the feel of the bite and hook set but we still managed catch some decent fish.
