I am sorry that your experience did not meet your expectations. In our phone conversations, I was very clear about what to expect with the weather. I also gave you the option to cancel or reschedule for another day. If the weather is less than Ideal I always give the customer the option.  With that said, I will never cancel a trip unless it is either unsafe or something beyond my control would force me to do so. I fish where the fish are and that meant fishing on the other side of the lake. I intentionally make the night trips an hour longer than my daytime half-day trips because I know that the ride back is going to take longer to safely navigate after dark. With the slower speed comes additional fuel costs and hours on my engine. We also were not able to go at full speed on the way out due to the weather and rough conditions. In the end, it seemed like you had a good time with your family and caught fish in less than ideal conditions, including rain, wind, and having lightning in the area.  With the technology that I have on board I was able to determine that we would be able to continue fishing while the other boats around us went back to port. The knife that was used is stored in my cabin and sanitized after each use. I obviously would not want to keep a dirty knife in my boat cabin. 

I have previously worked at a fish market for over 10 years and can assure you that I know how to properly clean a fish.
