We caught (and captain Jimmy expertly filleted) enough spanish mackerel, grunts, and mangrove snapper for dinner for 9 people!  Not to mention the fish we didn’t keep— including the stingray, grouper, pufferfish, rockfish and the 3-foot bonnet head shark!  Also a treat for us to be next to the dolphins!!  We had no idea that variety existed at the mouth of Tampa Bay in shallow water.

Perfect afternoon. Captain Jimmy was so accommodating! He was always there to help bait, unhook and untangle if necessary!  The canopy provided much-needed shade, and his patience and assistance with the 90-year-old birthday boy was exceptional. Even adjusted his schedule for us to avoid rough conditions and be able to catch the tides. Thank you for a memorable day!! REALLY hope to make it back.

We had an excellent day on the water. Half day inshore excursion. Captain Jim is very knowledgeable and always kept us rigged and ready. . The wind was not cooperating on this particular day, so he knew places to get us out of it and on fish. We caught seven varieties of fish, spotted some dolphins, and even got a glimpse of a manatee. Our experience with Captain Jim was excellent. Even with the recent Red Tide problem in the Tampa area, he was able to get us on plenty of mangrove snapper, red grouper, grunts, and a number of other species! We were able to take home plenty of fish filets to have a nice fish fry. Captain Jim and his crew mate, Brian, are both very helpful and made sure we had a productive and enjoyable day on the water. Captain Jim and Brian we’re great. We had an awesome day, great weather, good fishing, and good company. I cannot recommend Captain Jim enough. When back in town again and going fishing I will be rebooking. Great guys who are really knowledgeable.
