Me and my 14 year old son Kasyn went fishing with Ridge on July 16, 2024. Ridge took us out on the Holston River, about 45 minutes from Gatlinburg, and we started to catch smallmouth bass immediately. In fact, our second cast pulled in a 17” long bass. My 2 adult sons and I went with Ridge for a morning fishing trip.  We don’t fish regularly, but it was more about guy time and relaxation.  Ridge took care of us, kept us informed of where to be and what we needed (licenses and sunscreen).  Showed us how to use his reels and away we went.  Boat was comfortable, river was great.  We all caught fish.  Ridge is a true local and a real angler.  Even more, we all just seemed to be hanging out enjoying the river.  My boys had a blast, which... My 15-year-old daughter and I had a great time fishing with Ridge!!  He was knowledgeable, flexible, and easy going.  We caught smallmouth, white bass, and hung a monster drum ... and yes we did catch smallmouth like the ones in the pictures.  Beyond fishing the music, conversation, wildlife encounters, and sites on the river made for a great overall experience.  We’ll be booking Ridge next time we’re in East Tennessee and recommend his services to anyone who wants to get on the water.
