With a cold front pending, mself and Steven Tubbs were able to put together a pretty nice box on Keith Lake this morning. Most fish were caught on chartreuse DSLs and true to spring, 4-5 small fish were leases for every keeper.

The last couple of days on Sabine Lake have been the best we've had in months. He redfish were big, bad and pletiful. More trout were put on the boat in the last two days than the last to months . Most of the fish were caught on chicken on a chain plastics, drifted over shell in about 4' of water....and not another boat in sight. See you on the water!

The recent rains have put the trout in limbo, but the redfish are on fire! Jerry and his grandson, Jonathon, caught fish every cast for three hours Friday, using dead shrimp under a popping cork. The brisk West wind and cool temps didn't slow them down a bit.

...but Doc still managed to catch this no spot redfish, along with several others to 30". Water on Lake Sabine was 41ยฐ and it took a while to figure things out. Find warmer water and you'll find the fish.

Lots of big redfish today. They were in huge schools, biting anything you put in the water. Downside...they were BIG. Very few few fish were small enough to keep. Trout were plentiful, but small.
