I had originally booked a trip for a Friday to go fishing on the Susquehanna River for Smallmouth bass. The weather looked bad so luckily I was able to reschedule to the next Sunday. I wanted to take my son bass fishing before he goes off to school, so we booked a day with Captain Dave.  Dave cautioned us that with hot days, high water temps, and low water levels, late July would be tough for smallmouth.  We decided to try anyway, and Dave came through. We met him at 0530 to take advantage of the first two hours of daylight. Our trip was fantastic! We booked the eight hour Smallmouth Bass trip on the Susquehanna. Dave reached out before the trip and told us exactly what to bring and where to be. We were on the water from 6:30 to 3:00 and Dave would have happily stayed out later. We met at a diner for breakfast to get the day started. Captain Dave was a fun, friendly and knowledgeable guide. He got us to all the hot spots, where we hit into the three digits. He was on time and in contact before our trip. He gave us a fun, no worry great day for our first time fishingthe Susquehanna! We will see him again!
