I went on this fishing charter with two of my college friends. We had an absolute BLAST with Captain Dennis. The fishing conditions were rough out but he went above and beyond to make sure that our boat still found a way to get some fish in the boat! He is extremely easy to talk to and is very knowledgeable on fishing and the area. My friends and I would recommend Captain Dennis to anyone! If you want to have a fun day on the lake fishing this is the charter you should do!

My wife and I, fishing beginners,  really enjoyed the half-day fishing trip with Dennis in Sturgeon Bay, WI.  Dennis really knows the waters around Wisconsin, and demonstrated his knowledge, taking us to a great spot to catch Salmon that could be seen jumping around the boat.  During the trip, he showed us how to use, cast and work a reel & rod that my wife and I had never used before.  We were able to take home a 21.5 lb Salmon, that you see in the picture.  We took it to Baileys Harbor Fish Company, who did an excellent job smoking 1/4, and processing 3/4 into fillets.  This made for 8 servings of smoked fish, and 8 servings of fillets.  Last night, we had some of the smoked fish on crackers…Very good and tasty!!!!

Dennis did a great job one our half day trip.  My dad and I went out for salmon and trout.  Dennis informed us the night before that fishing for salmon and trout has been very slow and he suggested that we switch to walleye fishing.  My dad and I decided to go for salmon and trout anyways.  We should have listened to Dennis.  Fishing was slow, but it wasn’t because Dennis wasn’t trying.  He kept trying different presentations and depths to try to get us on fish.  In the end, we missed one and had a good time trying.  I do recommend Dennis as a fishing guide.  You get to know him unlike what I have experienced on larger charters.

We did a half day trip with Captain Dennis, and the kids haven’t stopped talking about it since. Dennis checked in ahead of time to see what we were hoping to catch and what type of fishing we would like to do. Dennis was super patient with the boys, answered all of their questions and did a great job keeping them entertained.
We were aiming for walleye and Dennis didn’t disappoint. We caught a ton of walleye, striper, northern pike, sheep head and a few other smaller ones. We even got to see an eagle snatch up one of the fish we threw back.

It was an incredible 4 hours and we’d highly recommend Captain Dennis to anyone hoping to catch some big fish and get a quick rundown of local animals and nature.

By far the highlight of our Door County trip this year.

Dennis provided an excellent experience for our family. This was our first time in Door County and my oldest son is a fishing fanatic so we had to get out on the water.

Dennis meet us at the marina and was on time and waiting on us! His boat is clean and well-organized and he has all the equipment you could possible need for a hundred fishing trips. He is a floating tackle store!

The weather was a bit cool and the water temp was around 57 degrees. The bay’s water was crystal clear. I’ve never seen such amazingly clean water., You could easily see 25-30 feet down and if it wasn’t so cold I would have wanted to grab a snorkel and mask and dive!

We fished several points along the bay and it was obvious that Dennis knew his way around the area. He is extremely knowledgable about fishing and can tell great stories. It can’t be easy to keep 4 people engaged who have various levels of fishing interest. He spent time with my oldest discussing fishing techniques and stories, and engaged my wife his jelly, jam and gardening skills, and kept my youngest engaged with the whole process. He was quick to assess everyone’s level and competence with fishing and adjusted his time and attention accordingly. He made sure everyone was involved and caught fish as you can see by the photos!

This clear water made it easy to see the Smallmouth who were cruising around their beds. We actually sight fished in 30 feet of water in one area, which to me was amazing.

I would absolutely recommend Dennis for your fishing needs. He was polite, attentive, engaging, knowledgable, patient, and involved. It was a wonderful 4.5 hours on the water and I would not hesitate to use him again should be lucky enough to return to that area.
