Everyone should remember it's fishing not catching. The great crews will continue to strive to catch fish by changing bait and lures when it seems dead for hours. This time it panned out for my trip.

Absolutely! It was a great inland trip. Uli speaks excellent English! We have done both inland and deep sea in many differ t locations. And honestly Uli is one of our top guides ever!! They worked hard to bring in the catches! Wonderful for first timers or long time fishermen!

Fishing is good from boats if you have an experienced guide. From shore it is difficult unless you ask locals where the best spots are. It takes a few weeks to learn the area fishing wise so if you are in Zihuatanejo for only a few days your best bet is to get a guide.

Better knowledge in fishing.
Other options when trolling isn’t sufficient.
It’s a private charter.
The guests should be able to get back to shore if they’d like. Also, the guests should be able to do other things rather than just sit and stare at the ocean quietly.
We paid a lot of money.

Pay a little more for a great boat and great crew. Well worth the experience. Also commit to a great day whether or not you catch a fish. The experience is well worth it if you just have a great time.

Treat your captain with respect and trust he is doing his/her best to get you on the fish, they really appreciate a tip and work hard.Bring your sunblock and try not to be hungover could make for a really bad day if the swells are high and your in a smaller boat out in the ocean.

The boat had plenty of cold beverages for us. We did bring our own lunch, 7 hours on the water is a long day. So bring lunch!

We mostly caught the same type of fish
It’s a good trip for close to shore and people new to fishing

Absolutely! We tried Cabo a few years ago and preferred the fishing in Zihuatanejo!

Contact the captain in advance and communicate what you are looking for in your experience.

Need to do your own due diligence on fishing conditions prior to heading out. I found it difficult to find update to date fishing reports for ZIH prior to trip, so went in blind.

Captain doesnt make much effort to teach the guests fishing. At the end of the trip the staff keeps all the fish.

Just get out on the water, have fun, be patient (it's fishing after all) and the rest will into place!

I gave it 5 stars due to the experience. But Captain was surprised at the amount we caught during the slow season.

Unfortunately we were in the off season so only caught 4 fish and nothing really big

Crowds are low, weather was perfect and fishing was hot - 10 fish in a few hours.
