What would you recommend to anglers fishing in Ocho Rios for the first time?

As I said, Christopher was nice enough in the beginning. But failed to tell us his nicer boat was broken down, and has not refunded any of what we paid. On top of that, they didn't catch any fish, which is out of his control, but overall, disappointed.

Just because we didn't catch anything, didn't mean you won't. Also, there is a fair bit of poverty across the entire country. You'll see very meager and run down places when departing for the trip. This does not affect the experience negatively; this is part of the experience. It helps you remember how good you have it to be able to visit here. Highly recommend fishing with Captain Anthony.

Great place to fish. Would have been better to take some days and spend fishing. Got lucky on my short half day to hook into a descent marlin but would be great to spend some days fishing that awesome place.

I hate to give 2 stars on the fishing based on one trip, but with not so much as a nibble, I don’t know how else to rate? I dont blame anyone - that’s fishing - no guarantees. The crew was friendly and engaged. They showed me pictures of the big fish other people caught in the past?

Not sure if it was the captain or what, but our experience was terrible and it was like throwing $1,250 out the window.

End of the summer season and the moon phase was not perfect. Water was pretty choppy if you tend to get queasy, would have been a tough day.

Don’t expect the world. It’s called fishing, not catching. Just go and enjoy yourself. Catching fish is a bonus!

In better conditions we would have had more success, but that’s why it’s called fishing and not catching!

Not a prime time for good fishing, but we enjoyed the adventure and this is good for first timers or inexperienced.

Be ready to have a fun experience, they pick you up at your resort and drop you off. All Included in the price, Take sunscreen and snacks.

Better in the spring, but you can get lucky. Would be cool if after trolling he took you bottom fishing. I didn’t have allot of time left is maybe why we didn’t.

Yes, very close to the beach to catch desired pelagic species that are good for the family.

GREAT loved the captain, boat guys, everyone!!!!! We caught fish and the guys were awesome!

Prepare yourself to be disapointed if no fish. But crew tried hard changing bait throughout!
