Ironclad got their first taste of tuna blood last night (4/21/25) with limits of 40lb grade fish. Get on an overnight trip with one of San Diego Fishing Charters top notch boats.

We ran a full day offshore today with six passengers and got into the yellowtail really good for six passengers. We ended up with limits of yellowtail by mid day. The bluefin did show their faces but they didn't wanna play. We still have some available trips this month check it out online and look for an availablei day and get out there and get stocked up!

Full day offshore, good signs of bluefin within our full day range. 2 bluefin for 2 anglers, another lost to a sea lion and some bottom critters. Good weather and fun times .

We ran offshore and down south with 6 anglers. again to try and find that yellowfin, bluefin dorado and yellowtail. We had our first 2 yellowtail on the bit at 9:10 am on blind jig strikes. Conditions looked excellent, good temps, good color and calm all day. Not much life out there for most of the day. Ended finding some dorado on a paddy, and managed to get one. Test were all lock jawed. Found a few breezer schools, but they didn't wanna play today.

Ron Glider from Los Angles Anglers Club came back out on their 2nd trip on the Ironclad. First trip was a lil windy and bumpy, but his 12 yr old grandson Carson caught his first yellowtail that day (and ate the heart)! Well today Carson struck again got the first struck of the day. After about a 10 minute battle, Carson landed his 1st Bluefin. We worked the zone throughout the day and ended up with 8 yellowfin, 1 Dorado, 1 Bmuefin and 6 Skipack. As with many fishing trips there were a few casualties and break offs. The bite was on pretty good and if it wasn't for the casualties we would probably had at least 10 more fish on the boat. Oh no good day on the water everybody had a good time and everybody got fish! Ron, Ted and Carson did A phenomenal job today! And all went home with some good fish. The yellowfin arrangement between 35 and 40 pounds, the blue fin was about 25 pounds and the Dirado was about 18 pounds. All good catchable grade fish.

We ran an overnight and left Mission Bay at 9pm. Got loaned up with an awesome mix of macs and dines from Everingham Bros Bait Co. We got into a good yellowfin on fly line dines, 25lb floro and our 2 anglers landed 2 out of 4, 20 lb and 40 lb. there are anout 6 unfortunate casualties and they came unbuttoned! 2 jig strikes and 4 fly line casualties. We also ended up with a 25lb bluefin on the cedar plug. Good weather conditions, good bait and positive attitudes today.
