Pipe Dream Charters – Pipedream III Fishing Reports
2021 Fishing Action
February 7, 2021
Good Morning Anglers, The 2021 fishing season is getting started and Pipe Dream III with Captain Scott and 1st Mate Ronnie are ready to help you experience some adventures on The Southeast Atlantic. Beginning January 4, 2021 the vessel Pipe Dream III underwent some major overhauls. Starting with the engines our master mechanic improved the performance and reliability. Adding new 4 blades props has increased the speed to reach the fishing hot spots sooner and give the anglers more time to catch a trophy. Whether it is trolling the Blue Water at the Gulf Stream for Wahoo, Mahi, Tuna, Sailfish and Marlin or Bottom fishing for Grouper, Cobia, Trigger Fish, Amberjack or Various Snapper species the 1st mate will be there to assist you getting the trophy onboard. Grouper season opens May 1st and our Red Snapper season has not been announced by NOAA. By mid April thru early June the Mahi should be showing up in good numbers, mixing in some Tuna and Wahoo makes a great day at the ledge. Currently, closer to shore, good size Black Sea Bass and Bull Reds are on the reefs and wrecks. Mid May thru mid September trolling for Kings will be giving some fast paced action and with the local King tournaments beginning in May, Pipe Dream III will be looking forward to some charter anglers lucky enough to get on the board for some tournament prize money. For those anglers not wanting to venture far from shore and experience some hot action, the Tarpon will be on the Jetties. With sunny skies, warmer weather and sea temperatures rising vacation season is right around the corner. If you are considering a day for some red hot action or just a relaxing day on the water call Pipe Dream Charters to secure your reservation.

Early February Fishing Put the long J
February 1, 2020
The forecast for Saturday February1, 2020 wasn't good but Capt. Scott with Pipe Dream Charters decided to stick the nose out of Pipe Dream III just to check. What a surprise, inlet was laid down with an outgoing tide and the wind was somewhat out of the west. Quartering the sea gave the 37' Pipe Dream III a great ride and an 8 hour charter for these customers gave them a great day. 6 anglers 42 Stud Sea Bass in the box and numerous throw backs of Red Snapper, Red Bass and Grouper.
Great Fall Fishing
October 16, 2019
Hello Anglers, The hot summer months with the warm south atlantic ocean temperatures have migrated on, but with the cooling ocean temperatures the bite is heating up. The Wahoo, Mahi and other Gulf Stream Blue Water species that moved northward as they migrated are on their way back south and by mid November they will be cruising the Gulf Stream off the coast of North Florida. Throw on a wind breaker for that early morning ride to the Stream for some tolling and by mid morning you'll be wearing a T-shirt and deep drop bottom fishing for some Grouper, Amber Jack, Various Snapper Species and other deep bottom dwellers. Not all anglers are early risers to make that run to the Stream, but the cooling ocean waters nearer to shore have also heated up the bite with the Sea Bass, Trigger Fish, Grouper and possibily a Cobia still hanging around trying to fatten up for the cooler months ahead. The back water fishing with the Guides from The Amelia Island Guides Association are already beginning to experience the effects of the cooling water with the Red Fish, Trout and Flounder bite heating up and with the AIGA Red Fish Spot Tournament beginning Friday October 25 with the captains meeting and Tournament day Saturday October 26 there should be no shortage of Fish being brought to the check in table located at The Amelia Island Marina.
