For the last 3 weeks the flounder have been snapping... shaping up to be a great start to the 2025 fishing season....

Fall fishing is here, multuple species including flounder, red drum, rockfish, bluefish, sheepshead, tautog, grey trout are all possible this time of the year, as the fish get ready for thier migration to the wintering grounds they are plenty hungry...

Bay fishing continues to be excellent for catch and release. Keeper flounder have been tough to come by this year, especially with our regulation changes from 16" to 17.5" minimum length. Bluefish continue to show up around the jetties, bridges, and shoals. Tautog and Sheepshead have been on the scarce side but expecting to pickup soon... Nearshore reefs are loaded with flounder and providing a fun day in the ocean when the weather cooperates.

Weather has been warm but the wind keeps coming... the SW is ok for bay fishing as long as there isn't too much grass and mud... clean water makes summertime fishing good... stained water makes it tough and we have to fish much harder to catch. Flounder and bluefish are still main target, with tautog fishing opening back up on July 1 we will be targeting tautog and sheepshead...

4 seniors from PA booked an evening trip today... tried bluefish, wouldn't cooperate... tried flounder, 3 shorts as the tide died out... these young guys fished hard ... wind was gusting from the south a bit...
