Captain Tom put us on fish at the first location and we had our rockfish limit in about 1/2 hour. I thoroughly enjoyed the trip. I will certainly book future trips with Hallock’s Grace Charters

Know that it is called fishing, not catching. You are at the mercy of the sea and conditions change fast. You have to change with the tide, literally. Having a great captain helps a ton because they know what fish to target at what time of day.

I wear long pants snd a uv rated shirt . If you font do that bring plenty of sundcreen snd maybe a light jacket.Boat provided drinks but i bring lunch snd a few snacks . I also bring a few drinks too.

Be patient. Definitely choose at least a 4 hour trip. It can be like catfishing. Sometimes, it takes a while to get a bite. Bring sunscreen and drinks. Smaller parties of 3 to 4 on board make the experience way better especially with the information that the captain and 1st mate can give you.

The water was a little bit choppy when we went out trolling some of our crew got a little sick so consider that if you have people that are not used to being on water, bring plenty of water to drink and tipped crew members. Good they really take care of you and work hard.

we took a 3 hr charter. 10 min ride to where sharks and rays were. we caught a 8’ stingray and a 6’ sand tiger shark in a 3 hr trip. highly recommend captain john.

Explore hotel/caming arrangements in advance. Lots of places, but not all in close proximity to marina. I recommend checking in with the Capt for recommendations.

Fish Pit Charters
MD has put a limit of one on Striper and nothing over 24” can be kept.
Catching more perch and catfish would have made this a “great” experience, but I will certainly book another outing with the Vista Lady and crew.
